Sabudana Vada/Saggubiyyam vada is a crispy delicious snack made by deep frying spiced sabudana and potato cutlets. This is traditionally a Maharashtrian recipe but is now widely enjoyed across other parts of the country as well. <br /> <br />Sabudana vada / Saggubiyyam vada ( సగ్గుబియ్యం వడలు)is a popular recipe for vrats/fasts. Sabudana (also known as sago or tapioca) is one of the most common ingredients used for making recipes for vrats during festivals <br /> <br />Ingredients: <br />250 gms Sabudana (Sago) (సగ్గుబియ్యం) <br />5 to 6 Boiled & Mashed <br />150 gms Groundnut Powder ( వేరుశనగపప్పు పొడి) <br />4 to 5 Green Chillies <br />1 tsp Cumin Seeds <br />Salt to taste <br /> <br />Method: <br />- In a bowl, take boiled potatoes and mash them. <br />- Add green chilies, cumin seeds, groundnut powder, salt & sabudana to the mashed potatoes. <br />- Mix all the ingredients well. <br />- In a pan, heat oil for frying. <br />- Make medium size round vadas and keep them ready for frying. <br />- Once the oil is hot, add the vadas and fry them until golden brown. <br />- Serve the pipping hot Sabudana Vadas with coconut chutney.
